your next stop, the migraine zone
I woke up with a migraine this morning and now I feel like I'm in some kind of a psychogenic fugue. Objects appear to be undulating, I feel like I'm floating, my chest feels tight, and my limbs are tingling. No real pain in my head, just moving pressure. Valium is the only thing that stops these episodes. Sometimes it's impossible to distinguish between a migraine and a panic attack, or they overlap. Does anyone else experience anything like this, some kind of really cracked-out perceptual weirdness that accompanies your migraines?

I don't have panic attacks, so I can't compare it to that, and I don't do drugs, but it's what I imagine an acid-fueled drug trip would be like.

Psychogenic fugue, by the way, is (roughly speaking) what happens when you wander off and forget about wandering off, for psychological reasons, and end up somewhere entirely different. So that sounds different than what you're describing.

Thank GAWD
I'm not the only one.Everytime I have read info on migraines..it almost NEVER states these sorts of things being involved. My migraines are more neurological then painful..yesterday with my most recent I SWORE I could feel my brain moving within my skull. I drove to the store and felt the reach to the steering wheel was unusually long...the pretty colored flashing lights are bothersome because they really aren't there, heh.
Thank you for helping me know I'm not gonna die ;)
My son has simple partial seizures, and I knew these were some of those symptoms, so I was worried. But it only happens in tune with my cycle..so hopefully I can find a fix for my screwy hormone levels. Wish me luck!
